Universal Test Machine (UTM) Calibration Spring Fixture
The Universal Test Machine (UTM), Calibration Spring Fixture is a triangular design which helps create a balanced load. It is used to quickly and accurately verify load and displacement accuracy parameters on any brand UTM using an 8” diameter indenter or smaller.
(3) Springs create approximately 150 lbs. force (667N) at 4” (101.6mm) of deflection. Actual force at deflection needs to be determined individually as each fixture will vary slightly. This can be determined by Schap, or by the end user.
