FAD 2 Force Application Device
The NHTSA has published the final rule for FMVSS 210, Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages (FAD 1 and FAD 2), as an alternative testing devices to the traditional torso / lap blocks. This final rule was effective as of October 17, 2024, and the full compliance date is September 1, 2027. Manufacturers have an option for early compliance prior to 2027.
