Du Pont Impact Tester (Toyota TSL 5101G Section 3.15)

The Du Pont Style Falling Dart Impact Tester is used to test the impact resistance of many types of organic coatings on surfaces and is also used to establish quality standards for resistance to impact surface damage and penetration of the substrate construction material, such as plastics, resins, composites, fiberglass, sheet metals, etc.

This consists of a vertical drop tube that guides a cylindrical weight causing it it to strike an impact dart (punch), which is resting on the test sample.  The drop  weight features a pin-handle which is used to raise the weight to the desired height in the graduated guide tube, and is released to facilitate the desired impact.

The Du Pont Style Falling Dart Impact Tester is designed to comply with Toyota TSL 5101G (Section 3.15). It comes complete with the anvil base, 475mm graduated drop guide tube,  impact dart(punch), sample holder, and 800 gram drop weight.

Although this configuration is specific to Toyota TSL 5101G, other  free falling impact configurations are available and customizable to meet your specific requirements.
