Cryogenic Fabric Flex and Abrasion System
The Schap Cryogenic Fabric Flex and Abrasion System is a single station (2 test specimen) instrument intended to operate at extreme low temperatures (-320F / -126C), in a nitrogen chamber. This consists of:
- All aluminum & stainless steel construction.
- Manual test sample clamping prior to initiating the test.
- Manual stroke adjustment prior to initiating the test.
- Manual test sample gap (or compression force) adjustment prior to initiating the test.
- Custom, non-oil impregnated bronze shaft bearings.
- Garolite G-10 thermal brake drive tube (rated to -450F).
- Aluminum anodizing is not included.
- All necessary internal wiring.
- Nitrogen test chamber build, including at least the following features:
- All aluminum & stainless steel construction with Styrofoam perimeter insulation.
- Clear polycarbonate lift off top cover allowing sight into the enclosure (if not covered in frost).
