Hydrolysis Specimen Test Jar
The Hydrolysis Specimen Test Jar is used for hydrolytic aging of test samples. Samples are hung on the stainless steel support inside the laboratory grade, one-liter jar (approximately 3.75″ diameter x 7″ tall).
DI water is added to the jar prior to sealing it with the polyethylene lined, black phenolic cap. The entire assembly is then placed in a thermal chamber and aged for a prescribed amount of time. The specimens are evaluated for physical changes when aging is complete.
